Welcome Statement

Welcome to the official website of the Embassy of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana to the Kingdom of Belgium, and the Permanent Mission to the European Union and the Organisation of African, Caribbean, and Pacific States (OACPS). As the official diplomatic representation of Guyana in Belgium, situated in the heart of Europe, the Embassy is dedicated to advancing Guyana's foreign policy objectives.

Our primary mandate is to foster and strengthen bilateral relations with Belgium and other European countries to which we are accredited. We also play a key role in multilateral forums, facilitating Guyana’s engagement on global issues. Additionally, the Embassy serves as a gateway for fostering trade and investment by building crucial international partnerships. We also promote cultural exchange by showcasing Guyanese traditions and encouraging tourism.

On a bilateral level, the Embassy manages relations with the Kingdom of Belgium, the Federative Republic of Germany, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Kingdom of Denmark, the Portuguese Republic, and the Republic of Austria. In the multilateral sphere, we advocate for Guyana's interests and facilitate collaboration between our national institutions, the European Union, and the OACPS. We also support Guyana's engagement with the Bureau of International Expositions (BIE).

Our Embassy is committed to providing consular services to Guyanese nationals in Belgium and throughout parts of Europe. We work closely with the Guyanese diaspora to promote national development goals, strengthen ties with the European community, and uphold the proud heritage of Guyana.
